After last year’s restart, when ISE had already managed to impress us, this year INTEGRATED SYSTEMS EUROPE exceeded expectations. This edition was exciting, a success across the board: attendance, number of exhibitors, new offerings, and themed conferences. Organized by Integrated Systems Events, a joint venture between AVIXA and CEDIA—two of the leading associations in the global audiovisual industry—ISE 2023 hosted the main technological innovators and solution providers from around the world for four days.

Visitors had the opportunity to experience what the future has to offer in the technological and audiovisual field thanks to spectacular ultra-high-quality screens, video-over-IP, virtual reality, augmented reality, surround sound, immersive spaces, holograms, interactivity, and the Internet of Things.

At AGMultivision, we had the opportunity to explore our partners’ offerings and gain a deeper understanding of the development opportunities for 2023.

Work is certainly a central theme of ISE 2023: the introduction of post-pandemic smart working and video collaboration—phenomena growing exponentially in the number of users engaged daily in meetings—have contributed to the increased demand for increasingly efficient unified communication devices. Companies have also accelerated their digital transformation strategies, providing tools for meeting rooms that are increasingly intuitive and efficient, as well as easier to configure and manage.

New ways of working and better tools: this is a first key focus.

Furthermore, the signals coming from the spread of immersive technologies for both virtual environments and physical spaces point to a new era for our industry, both in the design of solutions and in their actual implementation.

Also of great interest were the in-depth sessions offered by conferences and events such as the Smart Building Conference, during which professionals and experts examined how smart buildings are designed and used; the Content Production & Distribution Summit, a new feature at ISE 2023, where strategies and technologies behind the creation, management, and distribution of video content for promotional and informational purposes were explored; the Smart Home Technology Conference, which addressed thematic areas such as technical installation and design, business excellence, and future trends, all through the lens of technology integration. The Digital Signage Summit focused on strategies for the Digital Signage and DooH (Digital-out-of-Home) market; while at the Control Rooms Summit, business and technological strategies for control rooms were discussed across a wide range of vertical markets, including utilities, transportation, government, and public services.

An important focus was dedicated to the education sector and the workplace, with theEducation Technology Summit which examined the strategies, learning models, and trends driving the implementation of educational technology in universities, schools, institutions, and training facilities; and the Smart Workplace Summit which brought together the three worlds that converge to create the smart workplace: the digital workplace of the IT sector, which enhances the employee experience; facility management, which controls much of the office environment; and the workplace experiences that the AV industry has brought into meeting rooms, lobbies, and open spaces.

An unmissable event, in short, from many points of view.
